Many people are not good candidates for plastic surgery. Anti-Aging Facials

An Anti-Aging Facial can take on many different forms.  Depending on the clients needs, and condition of the skin, the technician may offer many different procedures throughout the facial.  The facial usually begins with a deep cleansing to rid the skin of  debris.  The skin is then prepped with a Revitalizing Peel, and nourished with Vitamins and Herbs of choice.  A pre-selected mask is prepared and applied.  It is at this time that many patient decide to tint their lashes and brows for a spectacular look.  While this multi-step therapeutic and skin renewal facial restores the skin's elasticity and suppleness, it is also very relaxing.

Vitamin C Facials

Due to many everyday stresses, including environmental, our skin can look very dull, and tired.  The Vitamin C Facial can change all that.  We use the purest form of Vitamin C -Ascorbic Acid.  Your face will look ALIVE after this facial.  Excellent for smokers, or sunbathers.  As the enzymes work to clear and brighten the complexion, you will be treated with a shoulder and neck massage.  In order to keep your skin looking refreshed and bright, your technician will recommend the best products suited for your skin, including SUNBLOCK.

Jessner's Peel

Benefits: Diminishes fine lines, reduces pore size, even skin tone, smoothes texture, and gives skin a vibrant healthy glow.  Expect "down time" of at least 3-5 days.  You will peel. 

Vitamin A Peel

Benefits: Retinol assists in regulating collagen synthesis and improves the skins water barrier.  Research has shown that the skin is capable of oxidizing L-Retinol to Retinoic Acid (Retin A) through enzyme activity.  The Vitamin A Peel has "no burn, no downtime" that supports the regeneration of the skin and the reversal of aging, but DO NOT underestimate its potency.  Many patients receive a facial before this procedure.

Medical Peels (AKA TCA Peel, AHA Peel, Salicylic Acid, Non-Resorcinol Peel, Beta Peel)

Oxygen facial

Oxygen therapy is used to increase cellular oxygen consumption.  When an "Oxygen Mask" is applied pumping out oxygen onto a clients face, there is no real evidence that the molecules are small enough to penetrate the skin to be effective.  However, it has shown that a topical oxygen application, if applied correctly will actually increase the amount of  the energy source in our cells.  What does this mean to you and I?  It "kicks" our skin back into shape, get it moving again.  Like when you get on the treadmill- your legs get red, the circulation gets back in them, that is the "ATP" or energy in the cells.  Oxygen treatments work the same way on the skin, they get the circulation going again, to prevent the aging symptoms.  If aging has already begun, A glycolic treatment is usually recommended prior to a oxygen treatment for best results.  Your skin will feel refreshed and revitalized. (Not like your legs when you left the gym.)

Enzyme Peels

We can offer many forms of enzyme facials at The Matrix.  Upon consultation, your technician will find out which one is best suited for your skin type. They mostly work in the same manner.  Enzymes remove keratin lipids from the epidermis, they reduce cellular build up, firm and tighten skin, and increase circulation.  There is no "down time withe a Enzyme Peel.  Most like to benefit from a full facial when receiving an enzyme peel.  You will see the most benefits this way.

Acne Facial ( Adult and Teen)

Many different methods can be used depending on what type of acne the patient has.  It is very important you bring ALL your products and make-up with you on your first visit.  Please stop all AHA, Retin A products or any other exfoliants 48 hours prior to this facial.  A deep cleansing and extractions will definitely be necessary.  You should NOT be worse after your facial that is a myth.  If you are, someone dragged bacteria all over your face, and did not disinfect you properly.  You may however, be red and a little puffy.  You may want to take whatever your physician recommends for discomfort (IE:Advil, Tylenol).  Your first visit will be allot of education, and cleansing.  We have to get that bacterial under control!  If that is the cause.  Then, we have to figure out what you are willing to do at home.  So be honest, I can work with anyone.  We will be using a wonderful product that loosens the debris in the pores to make the extractions easier.  We don't want to do any more than we have to.  We may even do a very mild peel to kill some of the bacteria.  You may have some light exfoliation for a couple of days after the facial.  This  will all be discussed beforehand.  Nothing will be done without your approval.  Once again, I am here to work WITH you.

Back Facials

For all those hard to reach areas.  The treatment begins with a gentle but intensive cleansing, followed by tining, exfoliating, extractions and finally, a suitable lotion for a relaxing massage.  If acne is present, a glycolic or salicylic acid should be added to the treatment.

Glycolic Facial

This intensive treatment rapidly exfoliates skin cells to clarify the complexion.  The usual deep cleansing takes place, followed by a powerful glycolic peel.  Once the peel is removed and the skin is restored to it's natural Ph balance, a restorative mask is applied and removed after several minutes.  A regenerating balm is applied, followed by SUNBLOCK.  A light massage is included.

All facials include a light shoulder and neck massage. The Anti Aging Matrix also offers:

Most of all, you must be willing to dedicate yourself to healthy skin care.That means good home care.You wouldn't think of going to the dentist and getting your teeth cleaned and not brushing your teeth daily would you?Now, we are not in the business of "selling" you a bunch of products that you don't need.That is why I ask you to bring all of your product with you on your first visit.You would be amazed at how many times people use too many products!

My job is to educate you about your skin.We start off slow, so there is no confusion.If you are not used to using products, then we start you off with maybe one, but, we have to keep that skin glowing once we start with a program, otherwise, you are wasting your money.

Now, let's get one thing straight.All products ARE NOT CREATED EQUAL!!!!You have your over the counter products, your products you buy at the departments stores, cosmeceuticals, pharmaceuticals, and prescription products.Don't ever get fooled by before and after pictures.Ask for other documentation such as blind studies.You see, many of the over the counter products are owned by the department store brands, so yes, they ARE the same product.Not the case at the ANTI AGING MATIX.If I would not put it on my face, it is not going on yours!In many cases, I will formulate a special product, sometimes with the pharmacy, especially for your skin type.We are in the serious skin care business here, and want you to stay, or get looking younger.

If you have children, they need to be protected as well.If you , or they, are getting "color" your sun block is not working.This is a FACT!
